Well, my wife and two kids were here. I was at a different dentist, who I enjoyed very much, but logistically, it just got to be a little bit of a pain. It was nice to be able to have the same dentist because sometimes you come together, that sort of thing. I will also say that they are very on the technologically cutting edge here at Perfect-A-Smile, which I thought was kind of neat, so I decided to come here. Staff is great, all the doctors are great. I think I've been worked on by three different dentists here, and every experience is perfect.
The biggest thing that I feel this practice at least gave to me was this laser. I am extremely frightened of sitting in the dental chair. It was from an incident that happened 30 years ago from me, and someone was drilling me and I was not numbed up because they said the tooth was dead, and it was not. When they had this laser, I went in with quite a bit of trepidation, fear. I didn't believe that it was actually going to do what it did, however this Solera machine, I don't know what sort of voodoo it uses, but what it does do is it drills the tooth and makes the nerve ending somehow think like they're numb. I don't have to have shots, and I am a needlephobe. I've had multiple surgeries, but I cannot stand needles, so I don't think I've ever been numbed for any work that I've had done here but for one time, and Dr. Ryan said, “Look, you probably won't need it,” but the area that needed to be lasered was so deep that he thought that I should probably get a Novocaine injection. I did, and it was perfectly fine.
